My stay at Shizentenyu was pleasant, with kind and polite staff providing attentive service. The food was quite good, especially the seafood, but the location is somewhat remote and can be hard to reach without a car. The onsen was modest in size, but the view from the hotel was beautiful, making it a nice retreat overall.

The half-board meals were an abundance of seafood. I enjoyed fresh abalone sashimi, lobster, and oysters, though it might have been a bit excessive for lighter eaters like me.

While the onsen was modest, I appreciated the calm atmosphere. It would have been great to have more facilities like kayaks or snorkels, especially since we swam despite the chilly water.

I had a wonderful time at Shizentenyu, where the personalized service and stunning sea views stole the show. While the location is a bit tricky to reach via public transport and the onsen was on the modest side, the friendly staff and delicious seafood more than made up for it. I might have wished for some simple vegetarian options at dinner, but they were eventually sorted out.

The hotel's west coast location offered tranquility, but getting there by public transport can be a bit of a hassle. It felt secluded, yet I would have liked a few more places to visit nearby.

The onsen itself was modest, and I found it lacking in water activities like kayaks or snorkels, especially since I was eager to swim.

My stay at Shizentenyu was really good overall, despite a few challenges. The staff was incredibly friendly and managed to communicate well, even with the language barrier. However, being vegetarian without fish or seafood made meal arrangements tricky at first. The location is quiet and picturesque, but it can be hard to reach without a car.
